The application for the PhD program takes place exclusively via the online portal DocGS. A TUM ID is required in order to register. If you do not yet have a TUM ID, you can apply for a Guest ID via us. The application for the Guest ID is possible in the period from October 7 to November 9.

Note: The application period for the TUM Guest ID has been extended until November 11.

Please note that the deadline for the online application for the PhD program is November 15 and an application can only be submitted with a valid TUM-ID! 

We therefore recommend that you apply for the guest ID as soon as possible. Due to the high volume of inquiries, incorrect or incomplete applications can unfortunately not be processed. This applies in particular to applications with an incorrect subject or missing information, especially in the form, as it is not possible for us to follow up individually.

To obtain a guest ID, please fill out the form below:

⚠️ If you experience technical issues with the current form, you may alternatively use the older version available under the “Documents” section on our website as "Formular TUMonline Gastkennung". Send it to gcmh.mh@tum.de with the subject “TUM-ID PhD Application”. You will usually receive your guest access within one week.

❗ Important: Please do not submit both forms. Only one version should be used.
