Medical Thesis – Old Regulations

If you submitted a dissertation notification to the doctoral office by December 31, 2013 directly after the start of your doctoral project, you are doing your doctorate according to the old doctoral regulations from before 2014.

After you have passed the medical examination, please apply to the GCMH for final entry in the doctoral list using this form (please complete electronically). We also require an officially certified copy of your state examination certificate (M3). If you studied at TUM, you can come to us in person with the original certificate. In addition, please submit a copy of the dissertation notification with the signature and stamp of the person in charge. In the case of a foreign degree, the equivalence assessment procedure must already have been completed. Entry in the list of doctoral candidates is a prerequisite for submitting the dissertation.

Before submitting your dissertation, you need a doctoral application, which you can create directly via Doc GS. After the online submission, all original documents must be submitted to the TUM Center for Study and Teaching. A detailed overview of the individual submission steps can be found in the TUM-GS Wiki.

If parts of the thesis are to be published before the end of the doctoral procedure, the GCMH must be notified immediately after publication by means of an informal letter stating the exact publication data (authors, topic, journal) (a template can be found here). Publication of the complete dissertation before the end of the doctoral procedure requires the written consent of the School of Medicine and Health.

If you have any questions about the submission, please contact us.
